The Deputy Prime Minister’s Office for Investments and Informatization of the Slovak Republic (hereinafter only as the “Office”) is a central public authority body. The Office is a budgetary institution of the government, whose revenues and expenditures are bound to the state budget.
Among main tasks of the Office are participation in creation and implementation of uniform state policy in the field of use of European Union funds as well as in the field of informatization of the society and investment. As part of its powers, the Office performs tasks concerning management, coordination and supervision of the use of European Union funds in the area of informatization of the society as well as in the field of investments.
The Office also performs tasks that imply from the membership of the Slovak Republic in international organisations (European Union, United Nations Organisation, Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe, Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development, World Bank, Visegrad Group (V4)). The Office also provides for performance of obligations resulting from international treaties and conventions (United Nations Organisation, Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe, Council of Europe) binding the Slovak Republic, which fall under the scope of competences of the Office.
The Office also performs tasks related to professional, organisational and technical arrangement of activities of Richard Raši, the Deputy Prime Minister for Investments and Informatization of the Slovak Republic.
